My bestie Amanda and I have been working really hard over the past year to create a start-up company called Thrive Gang. This truly is our labor of love and a work in progress but we are excited to announce that we are up and running in time for the holidays.
We hand make inspirational and empowering gifts/items for thrivers or anyone going through adversity such as cancer like myself. Our goal is to take the guesswork out of what to get someone when they are newly diagnosed and to create special pieces that the recipient will both want and love to wear.
I personally have never resonated with the whole pink ribbon thing (at least when it comes to wearing it) although I do love what it stands for. And a cancer diagnosis certainly didn’t change my style.
Have you ever had that one friend that always seems to buy the exact same thing as you, without either of you knowing that you both just bought the same damn thing?! Like you meet up and you are literally wearing the same thing? Well, that’s us! And because of this, Amanda and I have always talked about having a store or company together since we were young. So almost 20 years later, a cancer diagnosis is what lit the fire, and we began to make our dream come into fruition.
We recognized the need for more modern attire and gifts in this whole crazy world of cancer. But we also didn’t want to limit the products to only those with cancer but rather include ALL people going through adversity or hard times. We know that a small token of love and support goes a long way. Thrive Gang products not only have sentimental value, but they are also fashionable and attractive pieces one can wear that don’t scream, “Hey, I have cancer!” or make one feel like a walking billboard for cancer patients.
Here are a few of our most popular items:
We have so many ideas and will continue to create and roll out products in the coming year so please follow and take the journey with us @THRIVEGANG. In addition, proceeds from every sale will go back to metastatic breast cancer research and support.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the continued support !
XO
