Hey All! I’ts been a minute.. I’ve been on hiatus for different reasons, which I covered in my last post. I had a few months of ups and downs and I needed to take some time for myself to heal, exhale and focus on some major life changes, which I will blog about soon. But before the month is up (which is technically tomorrow) I wanted to share an important milestone with you all that I celebrated this month. On June 7th, I celebrated 7 years of thriving with MBC. I was diagnosed on this day exactly 7 years ago. It’s a bittersweet day, more sweet than bitter of course. I’m alive, I’m healthy and thriving…what greater blessing?! It’s always still an emotional day for me however…it’s still so surreal even though I’m 7 years in. I don’t think I can and will ever be able to normailze any of this, although it gets a little easier as the years go by.
As you may or may not know, the prognosis for MBC is not promising, but I’m an avid believer in breaking the rules and I know for certain that faith and the power of the mind overrides ANY statistic. In the words of Deepak Chopra, “Believe the diagnosis, not the prognosis.” I choose to live by these words and believe in my heart that I can and will live a full and “normal” life… And you can too! Each year I choose to share this special day with you, even if quickly, to serve as a reminder that no matter what you may be going through, ALL things are possible and can be overcome, even when the odds are not in your favor. And to those of you reading with metastatic dis-ease, I share this with the hopes of inspiring you to keep on living your best life. It’s not easy, but it’s most certainly possible.
To many more years of THRIVING for us all… And with Love of Course,
XO

You have been my number one inspiration since I was diagnosed with MBC almost two years ago. You have given me hope! I have learned that I am not a statistic! I can and will live a long active life. From the very beginning I knew that I was as not handed a death sentence I was going to live. And as normal as possible! So I thank you for being my inspiration!
Im so grateful that I have been a source of inspiration for you. It makes me feel like I am walking in my purpose. We are not statistics and with your attitude and outlook, you can and WILL live a long life. Lots of love your way. Keep Thriving!
